The artist has taken a ribbon of pure silver and wrapped it around a very unique artisan glass piece. Directly above the glass, she has inset a 5 mm pink CZ stone for added sparkle. This pendant has a nice large bail so it is easily removed from the necklace and can be placed on a ribbon, chain or slide.
Because the dichroic glass in the center the silver is mostly clear, this piece will appear to alter it's appearance. When placed against a light background, you will see through the glass and notice the pink and green along with a shimmer of gold when light reflects off the dichroic glass inside. When placed over a darker background, you will not be able to see the pink and green easily and will have a noticeable warm glow from the gold glass just under the surface.
This piece is tricky to photograph because of the dichroic glass it absorbs one color and reflects another. This type of glass will give a subtle shift in colors depending on the viewing angle and again the background color. Whatever the lighting, this type of glass will always attract attention because of it's unique properties.
The necklace is about 16 inches long, with the pendant almost 18 inches. It is strung with tiny glass drops alternating between a hint of pink and yellow, with green twisted glass beads inbetween. All crimp beads are hidden and the toggle clasp is made from Sterling Silver.
The necklace comes a pair of matching earrings.
